I do, however, disagree with what has been said about the hst.The MX5400 has a little over 10 more horsepower, while the 4044M has a higher hydraulic capacity. If you're buying it for PTO or ground work, I would call the Kubota a very good deal for the extra power. For loader work, probably the Deere has the advantage if that would be your primary use.
